Submission of College Board Advanced Placement Program (AP) scores to Westfield State University

Students who take College Board Advanced Placement (AP) courses and would like their exam scores considered for transfer credits or course waivers at Westfield State University must have their official AP Score Reports sent directly to the University by the College Board. Students who list Westfield State University as a score recipient when registering for the AP exam will have their scores automatically sent as soon as they are available.

  • Only official AP Score Reports sent directly from the College Board will be accepted.
  • Photocopies or unofficial score reports will not be considered.
  • AP scores are not required to complete an admission application file.
  • However, they are required for evaluation of:
    • Transfer credits
    • Course waivers
  • Students who do not submit official AP score reports will not be eligible for credit or waiver consideration.
  • The Office of Admission strongly encourages all students to submit their AP scores for evaluation as part of the admission process.

When and How AP Scores Are Received

First-Year Students

First-year students who graduate from high school in June and enroll at Westfield in September can expect their AP scores to arrive at the University between July 1 and July 15, if Westfield was selected as a recipient at the time of exam registration.

Transfer Applicants

Transfer applicants who completed AP exams prior to entering college should request their official AP Score Reports be sent to Westfield State through the College Board as part of their application process. Reports typically arrive within four to six weeks of the student's request. Accepted transfer students who submit AP scores will have any awarded transfer credits or course waivers reflected on their preliminary transfer credit audit sheets, prepared by the Office of Admission at the time of acceptance.
