Thrift Find: Mirror Mirror, Literally

Our neighborhood garage sale was last weekend.  We had a successful little sale, mainly selling baby stuff that we don't need anymore.  I found two mirrors at my neighbor's sale for $2 each.  As you can see (in this not so great photo) that there are two mirrors stacked on top of one another.  My original plan was to paint the fancy filigree mirror for myself and hang it in my room.  But - I really don't have a good spot for it to hang.

It belongs in a cute little girl's room - painted a bright color.  Our best friends' little girl is about to turn 7 - I'm going to re-do this mirror for her.  She already has a mirror in her room, so I think I may take the mirror out and make it frame, or chalkboard, or cork board.... so many possibilities....

I'll post my finished project - check back!

The second mirror is just going to get a coat of neutral paint and be hung in our master bathroom.  It will need to be placed strategically so as to give more light to the dark-windowless-little room but so as to never catch glimpses of us coming in or out of the shower.  Bad naked.

I'm linking up with Simple Design's Thift Haul.  Share what you've found lately!
