Speaking from experience, nursing mom's are hungry. Like ravenous, super hungry. I advise that if you're nursing and trying to loose weight, you give yourself lots of time to meet your goals. Nursing should be your priority Don't skimp on calories and nutrition. FEED yourself, and baby. You may loose a little bit of weight thanks to nursing but don't it expect it to be a magic bullet. Snuggle up with that little nursing baby and get comfortable with your mommy curves for a little while longer. Now is not the time to expect yourself to get your weight loss going.

31 Days (Day 9) Nursing and Weight Loss
Breast feeding takes an estimated 500 calories a day for your body to make milk for baby. This is also the goal amount of calories to alter in your daily consumption to begin to see weight loss. So why don't nursing mothers all shed weight like crazy? In short, I'm not 100% sure. But let's look at the whole picture; nursing mom generally a tired because they have babies. Less sleep makes it more difficult for your body to re-cooperate, heal, and get back to new-normal.
