It struck me this morning that I should be more clear on my opinion about weight, the need for weight loss, and wellness. My own personal goals for weight loss are very reasonable and not really bound to a number on my scale. I would like to be more physically active, participating in some sort of physical activities daily. I want to also being mindful to eat when I am hungry, make healthy balanced choices, but never bee too restrictive or judgy when I don't choose to eat the apple over a cookie. Cookies are good for me too, just in moderation. I expect that as I add in more physical activity into my day, my body will slowly adjust back to where I was before Xavier was born.
Weight loss in not for everyone. Wellness is for everyone. Frankly, if you are technically overweight but your your hearth is healthy, your blood glucose is normal, and your blood pressure is normal etc, then you shouldn't 'need' to loose weight. People can be larger and be 100% healthy. People can be thin and be unhealthy. While I wanted to grab readers attention with 'weight-loss,' I want for my readers to strive for a balance in life that leads to overall wellness and a health body, no matter your weight.
