We had a bit of a daycare scheduling snafu today. We thought daycare was back in session and done with summer vacation - it wasn't. I have no time to spare at work. Any PTO is dedicated to 3 hours glucose tolerance tests and OB doctor visits for impending Baby Number Two. Brandon, who has been working on the house the past couple of months just started an all day training class today, so Daddy couldn't stay home either. Grandparents were all out of town. It was 7:30AM and I needed somewhere for my Little Bear to go! Nicole and her extended family to the rescue!
Now get this - Nicole is 38 weeks pregnant and has a 1 1/2 year old and a 3 1/2 year old. She took my 3 year old for the day. She's awesome. Between Nicole and her Parents, our kids were covered - on SUPER short notice. Hallelujah!
The three kiddos played all day and napped hard. Another Hallelujah.

| Here we are with our baby boys! We are currently co-commiserating (in a good way) through our second pregnancy and infant-hood together. |
Nicole's family has helped me out on so many occasions; moving apartments, wedding decorations, baby sitting, helping me settle-in for our first night in our current house when Brandon had to be gone on a work trip. I am so thankful Nicole and I ended up in the same grad school program and instantly became good friends. Now that we're busy moms we don't get to meet up for long evening walks great gab fests, but we've adapted. More email and less phone. More quick pop-over visits, fewer 6 mile walks. We even ventured to Italy together in 2001. Maybe we can do that again in 20 years? :)
